THE GATEWAY ECOSYSTEM
The Community Allstar Gateway serves as the primary tactical hub for bridging legacy RF architecture with modern digital VoIP protocols, utilizing two core technologies.
ALLSTAR LINK
Allstar is a powerful radio-centric VoIP solution based on the open-source Asterisk platform. It enables high-fidelity amateur radio linking via dedicated hardware nodes, providing the backbone for the Gateway's RF synchronization capabilities.
FREESTAR NETWORK
Freestar is a community-driven expansion of the Allstar environment, offering enhanced directory services and server stability. Within the Gateway, Freestar ensures resilient peer-to-peer node discovery and reliable tactical communication across the global matrix.
